New Sustainable HQ Campus for World's Largest Apparel Company

The Challenge

VF Corporation, the largest apparel company in the world, with such notable brands as The North Face®, Vans, Timberland, Wrangler, Lee, 7 for All Mankind, and Nautica, to name a few, was seeking a new state-of-the-art headquarters for its outdoor division

 


The Solution

The May 2011 groundbreaking marked the culmination of a four-year planning effort lead by Cushman & Wakefield, representing VF Outdoor, at 2601, 2701, 2801, and 2901 Harbor Bay Parkway. The campus will serve as the global headquarters for the VF Outdoor brands The North Face®, lucy, and JanSport. The project is seeking LEED-Gold certification, utilizing both wind- and solar-powered energy as well as functional outdoor spaces and a vegetable garden. Cushman & Wakefield provided site selection, financial analysis, and transactional and construction management services.

 


The Result

Cushman & Wakefield succcessful managed the transaction for the new state-of-the-art campus, to be located along the waterfront of the San Francisco Bay, consisting of a four-building, ground-up, build-to-suit site.
