Cushman & Wakefield today announced it has completed a 20,406 square foot (SF) office/warehouse/showroom lease with BioSurplus at 57 Water Street in Watertown. Cushman & Wakefield's Juliette Reiter and David Townsend represented the tenant, BioSurplus, in the transaction. The landlord, Boston Development Group, was represented by John Nealon of Nealon Properties.
BioSurplus is a leading provider of equipment management solutions and pre-owned scientific instruments to the life sciences industry. Founded in 2002, the company offers solutions for every stage of the laboratory equipment life cycle including buying, selling and managing the process for inventory, valuation and repairs of surplus assets.
Headquartered in San Diego, BioSurplus opened its Watertown showroom December 1, 2012 to accommodate regional demand from clients in the academic, medical and life science sectors. The company selected its Watertown Square location because of its proximity to the renowned biotechnology, pharmaceutical, hospital and laboratory presence in the area. In addition to its new Watertown location, the company offers large showrooms in San Diego, San Francisco and Korea.
