Cushman & Wakefield Announces Relocation of Northern California Headquarters

SAN FRANCISO, CA – May 22, 2013 – Cushman & Wakefield has announced the relocation of the firm’s Northern California headquarters to 425 Market Street, Suite 2300 in San Francisco. The new 27,000-square-foot modern, state-of-the-art office, designed by Gensler, was constructed by BCCI Builders and opened for business on May 20, 2013.

The move to 425 Market Street caps off an extraordinary period of growth for Cushman & Wakefield, which advised on three of the top five largest leasing transactions in San Francisco in 2012, including deals for at 50 Freemont, 350 Mission and One Rincon, and Hudson Pacific Properties’ lease to Square Inc. at 1455 Market Street. In March 2013, Cushman & Wakefield had the strongest showing of any Northern California commercial brokerage firm at the annual San Francisco Business Times “Real Estate Deals of the Year” awards, taking home honors for: Deal of the Year, Broker of the Year, Best San Francisco Office Lease, Best Suburban Office Lease (San Ramon), Best New Office Development (Alameda) and Best New Restaurant.

Cushman & Wakefield opened its first San Francisco office over 40 years ago and was most recently located at One Maritime Plaza. The new Northern California Headquarters at 425 Market Street will house 115 professionals from the company’s Agency/Brokerage, Corporate Occupier & Investment Services, Capital Markets, Consulting, Marketing, Research, and Valuation & Appraisal service lines. As part of the relocation, the firm also moved financial and accounting operations to a new office at 505 Sansome Street in San Francisco. In addition to San Francisco, Cushman & Wakefield operates other Northern California offices in San Jose/Silicon Valley, San Rafael, Oakland, Walnut Creek and Sacramento.
