Cushman & Wakefield represents Axis Pipe and Steel in its 183.63 acre site purchase in Bryan, Texas

New steel pipe and tube manufacturing facility to commence construction soon.

Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc.'s Houston office negotiated the purchase of 183.63 acres for the construction of a steel pipe and tube manufacturing facility for Axis Pipe and Tube, Inc. The assignment's completion comes after The Prolamsa Group's announcement in April that it will construct the 300,000-plus-tons-per-year pipe and tubular products manufacturing facility in Bryan, Texas. Axis Pipe and Tube is a subsidiary of The Prolamsa Group.

Two adjacent industrial land tracts will house the facility. The property is located on Luis E. Mikulin Road, just west of State Highway 6 in Brazos County, Texas and was selected after an extensive multi-state site selection process.

Axis Pipe and Tube will begin construction on the facility in late August 2013. The facility is expected to exceed 400,000 square feet and will include three miles of on-site rail. Approximately 285 jobs will be added to the local economy when the facility is fully operational.
