Greentown Labs Moves to Somerville

Cushman & Wakefield arranges 34,000 square foot lease

Cushman & Wakefield today announced the commencement of a 34,000 square foot lease at Ames Business Park on Dane Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. Cushman & Wakefield’s Scott Gredler represented the landlord, WFS LLC, in the transaction. The Tenant, Greentown Labs, was represented by CBRE’s Jonathan Freni.

Greentown Labs will be moving from Boston’s Seaport/Innovation District into Ames Business Park, the former Ames Safety Envelope plant, later this month after completing two months of significant renovations to the space. A leading technology incubator, Greentown will occupy prototyping space, a machine shop, electronics lab, office space and an event space. Working with partners, and sponsors it provides entrepreneurs access to the equipment, services, education, and network they need to launch their companies quickly.

Ames Business Park consists of 14 attached and detached, one and two story, industrial buildings, containing nearly 300,000 square feet of gross building area constructed between 1910 and 1994. In close proximity to Cambridge and Somerville amenities, the park is a short distance from I-93 and well serviced by numerous MBTA bus lines.
