Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Karen Buck, a former national marketing executive for agency services at CBRE, has joined the firm as a Marketing Director. She will be located in the firm’s world headquarters office in Midtown Manhattan.
Ms. Buck brings two decades of commercial real estate marketing and business development experience to Cushman & Wakefield, having held senior-level positions with the Edward S. Gordon Company, Insignia/ESG, and, most recently, CBRE.
“We’re very excited to have someone of Karen’s caliber join our outstanding marketing team here in New York,” said Ron Lo Russo, President, New York Tri-state Region. “Her tremendous level of expertise and success on a national scale, along with her creativity and enthusiasm will serve as a valuable tool for our brokerage professionals and clients.”
As Marketing Director, Ms. Buck will play a leadership role in supporting brokerage professionals throughout the entire New York metro region in developing strategy and focus for each new business pursuit, as well as directing the creation of compelling, client-centric business development deliverables.
While at CBRE, Ms. Buck supported major solicitation efforts for select, high-profile pursuits – developing content, coordinating the overall message, and ensuring consistent branding. Her responsibilities included providing strategic guidance, marketing support, and quality control for strategic new business pursuits across the country for agency and brokerage assignments, as well as for capital markets, corporate services and property management pursuits.
Prior to CBRE, she spent ten years at Insignia/ESG and the Edward S. Gordon Company, where she was part of the marketing group that created a local and national marketing infrastructure and assisted in transitioning each of Insignia/ESG’s acquisitions throughout its rapid expansion from 1996 through 2003 from a marketing and branding perspective.
Ms. Buck is a graduate of Iona College and has a Masters Degree in Communications and Media Studies from Fordham University.
