Cushman & Wakefield’s Future Leaders Group (CWFL) announced today that it sponsored more than 35 events in 25 markets across the U.S. and Canada and raised in excess of $741k for a number of different charities in 2013. That total surpassed the group’s 2012 mark of $468k, representing an increase of 58%.
“We had a tremendous year thanks to the dedication, drive and collaboration of the members of our CWFL group,” said Elisa Konik, CWFL Chair.
“We’re always striving to better ourselves as both commercial real estate professionals and as a group,” said Brian Scruton, CWFL Community Chair. “It’s very gratifying to be able to give to so many deserving charitable endeavors.”
CWFL, which started in Cushman & Wakefield’s San Francisco office in 2011, has grown to more than 800 members in the U.S., as well as Canada and Mexico. The group is open to all C&W professionals with less than seven years of industry experience. It has a mission to create a network in the Americas of rising professionals within C&W which, through continuing education, collaboration, and community service, will grow individually and collectively. The organization strives to advance the C&W brand, each member’s careers, and the firm’s vision to provide the most creative and innovative services to its clients.

Northern California Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser (San Francisco, CA) – CWFL’s Northern California chapter hosted the group’s 8th annual Bowl-a-thon at Presidio Bowl in San Francisco to benefit Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Bay Area. Over 200 people attended this year’s event, which raised $62k. The chapter has raised a total of over $360k with the event.
Aquaphor New York City Triathlon (New York, NY) – CWFL sponsored 15 C&W professionals, who were among 3,000 people that participated in the race, raising more than $55k for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help with patient care and blood cancer research.
The Ottawa Charity Classic (Ottawa, ON) – CWFL raised $45k for this annual charity golf tournament in support of the Bruyère Foundation. The tournament is held at Mont Tremblant and is widely considered as the top event in the industry.
Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser (Stamford, CT) – CWFL raised $32k for the Folds of Honor Foundation. The second annual Bowl-A-Thon for the Fairfield and Westchester County real estate industry took place at the AMF Rip Van Winkle Lanes in Norwalk, Conn.
Concert 4 A Cause Benefiting Ryan House (Phoenix, AZ) – CWFL raised $20k for The Ryan House, which focuses on providing respite, palliative, and end-of-life care to children with life-threatening conditions.
