Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it represented F+W, a content and ecommerce company, in a new lease at 1140 Broadway, located at the northeast corner of 26th Street in Manhattan’s Midtown South market. F+W, which will relocate from 38 East 29th Street, will occupy 8,500 square feet on the entire 14th floor in the 17-story office building.
“As our Company has grown and transformed over the past several years, it was well past time for a change in our surroundings as well,” said David Nussbaum, F+W Chairman & CEO. “Moving to a newer, more modern space better reflects our mindset – and suits our needs – as we shift from a century-old media company to the leading content and commerce provider for enthusiasts.”
Cushman & Wakefield’s Alan Wildes, Executive Director, represented the tenant in the long-term transaction. Michael Joseph and Andrew Roos of Colliers International represented the landlord, 1140 LLC, in the transaction.
“F+W really wanted to keep its offices in Midtown South and 1140 Broadway was a perfect fit,” said Wildes. “Along with a quality, hands-on ownership group, the 14th floor lends itself well to the needs of the company, offering a great location and amenities with plenty of natural light.”
In addition to a full print portfolio, F+W serves 20 Million consumers annually via the Company’s ecommerce stores, offers extensive online education, trade and consumer events, popular consumer catalog brands, produces four nationally-broadcast TV programs and more, all in service of passionate communities of enthusiasts and hobbyists from beginners to advanced.
