Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Jamestown L.P. has appointed the global real estate services firm as exclusive retail agent for the office tower at 1250 Broadway, located on the entire blockfront of Broadway between 31st to 32nd Streets.
1250 Broadway, designed by Shreve Lamb & Harmon, is the only glass and steel structure of its kind in the neighborhood. Located north of Madison Square Park, the building is situated in the heart of a Midtown South market that has become a 24-hour daily live, work and play environment, with an increase in total housing units, upscale hotels, schools, restaurants and stylish boutiques. The retail space will also benefit from its proximity to Herald Square/34th Street, one of New York’s busiest retail corridors.
A Cushman & Wakefield retail team of Jim Downey, Sarah Fabian, Steve Soutendijk and Yael Amron will serve as retail agent for the building. The team will advise ownership in upgrading and repositioning the asset.
“We’re very excited to be appointed retail agent and the opportunity to work with Jamestown in reviewing options to upgrade and reposition this great asset to attract a tenancy that will flourish in this dynamic market,” said Jim Downey, a Cushman & Wakefield Executive Director. “The retail space offers an incredible opportunity for a wide range of possibilities, including a flagship dry-goods location, full-service dining, upscale fast-casual restaurants and pop up stores.”
1250 Broadway is bordered by the Flatiron District and Gramercy Park to the South, Chelsea to the West, and Herald Square directly to the North. The tower is conveniently located steps from Penn Station, New Jersey Path Trains and Herald Square’s bustling subway nexus, as well as Port Authority and Grand Central Terminal.
The Class-A, LEED-Gold certified property includes 24/7 security, a newly upgraded lobby, elevators and building systems, a 150 indoor car parking garage and 360-degree unobstructed panoramic views.
