Cushman & Wakefield announced today that George Olmstead has joined the Healthcare Practice Group and will be based in Atlanta. In his role as Senior Director and Principal of the group, Olmstead will direct the firm’s leasing services on behalf of landlords and tenants in the healthcare/medical office building sector throughout the Southeast.
As the founder of healthcare brokerage firm Olmstead Realty LLC, Mr. Olmstead completed 103 leasing transactions totaling $161 million from 2008 to 2014 prior to closing the firm to join C&W.

Mr. Olmstead was recognized by the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors as the No. 1 producer for 2013 in the Office Landlord Category and was named the 2013 Costar Power Broker Winner as the Top Office Leasing Broker in Atlanta.
His successful listing assignments, which he will continue to represent in his role with C&W, include Emory University Hospital Midtown Medical Office Tower (360,000 square feet), Meridian Mark Plaza (160,000 square feet), Glenridge Medical Center (100,000 square feet) and Preston Ridge Professional Campus (90,000 square feet). He has also provided leasing services for healthcare clients such as Resurgens Orthopaedics, Neurotrials Research, CMED LLC and the Advanced Urology Institute of Georgia.
Prior to founding Olmstead Realty, Mr. Olmstead was a Partner at medical office building developer Kirbo Property Services, where he led the brokerage division, producing more than $20 million in MOB leasing transactions over a two-year period. He also previously served as Assistant Vice President at Cousins Properties for seven years, finishing his tenure as the head of leasing for Cousins’ medical office properties.
He is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Board Member of Atlanta Neighborhood Planning Unit C, and Land Use Chair for the Brandon Neighborhood Association. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History at Emory University.
