Brian Dawson Appointed Cushman & Wakefield Agency Leasing Leader for Washington, DC

Cushman & Wakefield has announced the appointment of Brian Dawson to Senior Managing Director, a top leadership role in Washington, DC.   

As the head for the Agency Leasing practice, Mr. Dawson will ensure clients are receiving the firm’s most innovative solutions and brightest ideas while also driving the adoption of best practices. Mr. Dawson will continue to drive the overall growth of the platform and create value-add initiatives in the Washington, DC, metro area.

With over 28 years’ experience, Mr. Dawson has a deep understanding of the Washington, DC, market, with insightful knowledge of tenant representation, investment sales and capital markets – which inform his relationships with the city’s landlord community.

Mr. Dawson joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2007 as Co-Manager of Capital Markets Group, where he advised institutional investors on real estate investment strategies, structured finance, real estate securitization and property sales. Over the course of his career, he has completed in excess of $5 billion in commercial real estate sales transactions throughout the Washington metropolitan area.

Mr. Dawson holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland. He is a licensed real estate broker in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia and a NAIOP Member. He volunteers his time as a Board Member of the LeVeen-Roach Scholarship Fund.
