Mr. Mosler, current Chairman of Global Brokerage, will spearhead efforts to place Veterans in positions across offices throughout the United States.
NEW YORK, NY – Cushman & Wakefield today announced that the firm has appointed Bruce Mosler, Chairman of Global Brokerage, as Chair of the Veterans Initiative at Cushman & Wakefield.
Mr. Mosler will oversee a comprehensive program aimed at hiring United States Veterans into various service lines and geographies at Cushman & Wakefield. In addition to his role at Cushman & Wakefield, he serves as the co-chairman of the Intrepid, Sea, Air and Space Museum; as chairman of the Business Executives for National Security; and on the boards of Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families, the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, the Police Athletic League and the Navy Seals Museum.
“I am proud to spearhead a program that will empower Veterans, one that will emphasize career development over short term employment. These are high achievers who are accustomed to working under pressure and thrive in a team environment – the firm will benefit greatly from this initiative and I believe that the Veterans we hire will as well,” said Mr. Mosler.
In order to meet its goal of hiring additional Veterans to its workforce, Cushman & Wakefield will leverage existing relationships with partner Veteran-focused organizations like Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families, and the Fisher House Foundation, to identify the best-and-brightest Veteran candidates for employment. Additionally, the firm will work closely with the Veteran Jobs Mission, a coalition of more than 230 companies that have collectively employed 348,000 veterans – in 2011, Cushman & Wakefield was one of 11 founding members of the coalition.
“Cushman & Wakefield has committed significant resources to further strengthening its practice of providing Veterans with careers that allow them to succeed in the commercial real estate industry. Along with Bruce and other members of senior leadership, we will implement a system that trains, supports and tracks the performance of our Veteran hires,” said Tod Lickerman, Chief Executive of the Americas for Cushman & Wakefield.
Cushman & Wakefield’s commitment to Veterans also includes playing an active role in Veterans Day. The firm supports New York City’s Veterans Day Parade, America’s Parade, which will take place on November 11 and include 40,000 marchers on Fifth Avenue.
