LOS ANGELES, CA – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Eric Garfield, MAI, CCIM, has joined the firm as Managing Director within the Valuation & Advisory group.
“Eric brings a unique combination of skills that cross both our Financial and Tax Reporting and Dispute Analysis and Litigation service offerings,” said Michele Kauffman, Executive Managing Director and Regional Manager for the Southwest Region.
Mr. Garfield’s focus is on valuation for estate planning, non-cash charitable contribution/donation and financial reporting. He is qualified as an expert witness in Superior Court and clientele include REITs, attorneys, trusts and CPAs / Auditors.
Mr. Garfield’s background and experience supports the firm’s existing platform and promotes greater efficiency in valuations for estate planning, and financial reporting, providing clients high-quality appraisals, particularly on complex assets and portfolios.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Garfield was with Andersen Tax, LLC where he was a Managing Director and National Partner-In-Charge of Tangible Asset Valuation. He previously served as the Vice President at FMV Opinions, Inc., and began his career as a valuation specialist at KPMG LLP.
Mr. Garfield is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and is licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in numerous states. He received his BA at University of Southern California, and an MBA in real estate at University of San Diego. Mr. Garfield has participated on numerous AI committees and acted as the IRS Valuation Summit co-chair for four years.
