Cushman & Wakefield has entered into an exclusive alliance agreement with ChaneyBrooks, the leading commercial real estate firm serving Hawaii and Guam markets.
Mike Smith, President, West Region, Cushman & Wakefield, said, “Our priority is to meet our clients’ needs wherever they do business – whether with a corporate office, or a premier alliance partner. “Both firms share a culture of putting the client first and putting the best team on the field. This new partnership will benefit both our local and global clients in Hawaii and Guam with deep local knowledge and a network of global expertise.”
Founded in Hawaii in 1958, ChaneyBrooks has served clients in the areas of asset and property management, sales, leasing, and development consulting in office, industrial, retail, hospitality, multi-family residential, privatized military housing, and mixed-use projects in Hawaii and Asia Pacific. The Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks alliance brings together Cushman & Wakefield’s well-established global platform with ChaneyBrooks’ deep local knowledge in the Pacific markets.
Steve Sombrero, a 30-year real estate veteran, will continue to serve as President of the new Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks alliance firm. Joseph Haas will remain as the Managing Director and Principal Broker of Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s brokerage, property management and leasing services in Hawaii and Guam.
“This is a great milestone for ChaneyBrooks to become part of one of the leading real estate organizations in the world. We could not be more ecstatic about what our new alliance with Cushman & Wakefield will mean to our future, and more importantly, our ability to better service our clients,” said Sombrero; continuing, “Drawing upon the power of a dominant global platform, we will remain fully focused and devoted to providing clients with value-add local expertise which has enabled ChaneyBrooks to be at the forefront of the rapid growth of Hawaii’s commercial real estate market for decades. “
Sombrero added, “As our business continues to flourish, our clients have wanted us to expand our practice geographically, in an effort to better connect real estate opportunities in Hawaii and Guam with those located in U.S. mainland, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, The Philippines and Korea. Our new alliance will help us satisfy this critical need by enhancing our ability to service clients throughout Asia and across the globe while still retaining our local touch unique to Hawaii.”
The Cushman & Wakefield Alliance Program is a fully-integrated extension of the firm’s global platform, consisting of selected independent firms that provide Cushman & Wakefield clients with extended geographic reach, offer best-in-market professionals, and high-quality, comprehensive services. Each firm is independently owned and operated and has deep relationships within their communities. Operating as a unified team, Cushman & Wakefield and its Alliance Members combine strong local talent, relationships, and market intelligence with the full range of Cushman & Wakefield’s global platform and resources with the goal of providing best in class service to clients.
